Who we are
Gonzo Auto Sales ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent automobile dealer located at 3002 OK-167, Catoosa, Oklahoma 74015. This policy explains what information we collect through gonzoas.com (the "Site") and in the course of doing business with you, and how we use it.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use our contact form, call, text, email, or visit the lot, you may provide your name, phone number, email address, the vehicle or service you are interested in, and anything you include in your message.
Financing information. If you apply for financing, we collect the information a credit application requires, such as your address, date of birth, Social Security number, employment, and income. We collect this in person or through our lending partners' secure applications, not through the public contact form. Please do not put sensitive financial details in the contact form.
Purchase and vehicle records. When you buy, sell, or trade a vehicle with us we keep the records that the transaction and Oklahoma law require, including your driver's license information, title documents, and the sales contract.
Automatically collected information. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the time of your visit. We use this only to keep the Site running and secure.
How we use your information
- To respond to your questions and requests and to schedule test drives.
- To process financing applications, trade-ins, and vehicle purchases.
- To send you information about a vehicle you asked about or a transaction you started.
- To keep records required by federal and Oklahoma law, such as tax, title, and registration records.
- To protect the Site, our customers, and our business from fraud and abuse.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- Lenders and finance companies, when you ask us to arrange financing. They use your application under their own privacy policies.
- Service providers that help us run the Site and the business, such as our website host (Netlify), our inventory database (Supabase), and font hosting (Google Fonts). They may process your data only to provide their service to us.
- Government agencies, including the Oklahoma Tax Commission and Service Oklahoma, to complete title and registration and to comply with dealer licensing requirements.
- Legal requirements, when a law, subpoena, or court order requires it, or to protect our rights and safety.
- Business transfers, if the dealership is sold or merged, in which case your information transfers with it.
Cookies and tracking
The Site does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Our inventory pages use your browser's local storage only to make the Site work, for example to remember a filter you chose. If we add website analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
Text messages and calls
If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP or by contacting us. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their marketing.
How long we keep information
We keep contact-form messages for as long as needed to respond and follow up, generally no more than two years. We keep transaction, financing, and title records for the period required by law, which is typically at least five years for dealer records in Oklahoma. Financing applications that do not result in a purchase are kept only as long as our lending partners and fair-lending laws require.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on the Site, restricted access to customer records, and secure storage of paper files. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask us to update or delete the contact information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing sales@gonzoas.com. We will honor your request unless the law requires us to keep the record. If you have questions about a credit application, we will tell you which lender holds it so you can contact them directly.
Children
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
